Veteran's Memorial Park

The park gets its name from a Granite War Memorial that honors the men and women who gave their lives in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Viet Nam War. Each year on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, services are held to honor those that have given their lives for our country, and those that have served our country and those that still guard the freedoms we enjoy today.

The Park also features an Eternal Flame Memorial donated by Mr. Travis Ivey, a Veteran of World War II, who lost his eyesight at the Battle of the Bulge. Some of the most memorable features of Memorial Park include:

  • The War Memorial
  • Walking Track
  • Basketball Court
  • Pond
  • A Pavilion
  • Playground for the public to use and enjoy
  • And more…

Veterans Memorial Park is located on Memorial Drive in Piedmont, AL,  just off Hwy 21.
