The Piedmont Civic Center was named after Clyde H. Pike, an employee at the Civic Center for 37 years. A dedication ceremony was held on April 16, 2005 to recognize Mr. Pike for his dedication to the city. Many shared memories of Mr. Pike’s love, kindness, understanding, and guidance offered to them and the hundreds of other children that he helped “raise.”
